A youth theatre group is set to stage its first production since the Covid-19 pandemic.
Next month, Kids Innerleithen Youth Theatre (KIYT) will present Aladdin Jr, a Disney 'classic' adapted for the stage.
The group, part of the Innerleithen & District Amateur Operatic Society, consists of 28 youngsters aged between eight and 16.
Theatre-goers can expect to revisit the tale of street urchin Aladdin, who falls for Princess Jasmine and discovers a magical lamp housing a fun-loving Genie.
The story follows Aladdin and the Genie as they embark on an adventure, in a bid to outsmart the wicked Jafar and win the heart of Princess Jasmine.
Harris Millan takes on the title role of Aladdin, with Ella Campbell as the wise-cracking Genie.
Aila Wallace will portray Princess Jasmine, while Theo Tweedie will play her protective father, the Sultan.
The characters of Jafar and his feathered sidekick, Iago, will be played by Corey Wallace and Euan Thompson, respectively.
The show will feature well-loved songs such as 'Friend Like Me' and 'A Whole New World.'
The production is set to take place at the Memorial Hall, Innerleithen, with performances at 7.30pm on Thursday, November 21 and Friday, November 22.
A matinee performance is also scheduled for Saturday, November 23 at 2.30pm.
The Friday evening show will include a British Sign Language interpreter.
Tickets for the show are priced at £10, with concessions available at £8 for senior citizens and children.
Tickets can be purchased by calling 01896 404908 or by visiting the Innerleithen & District Amateur Operatic Society website.
