An internationally-renowned string quartet is set to perform in Peebles.

Quartetto Noûs will play at the Eastgate Theatre on November 5 at 7.30pm as part of the Music in Peebles 2024-25 season.

At the Eastgate Theatre, they will perform works from three different centuries including Haydn’s String Quartet in B minor, Op 64, No 2, from 1790, Shostakovich’s String Quartet No 4 in D major from 1949, and Schubert’s 'Death and the Maiden' Quartet.

Other concerts include performances from Scotland’s own "posh boy band" Scozzesi, and Roo & Neil who bring their own compositions, combining classical, folk and jazz.

There will also be a Song over Scotland concert, which is a salute to the traditional song heritage of Scotland, illustrated in story and song by David Purdie and Robyn Stapleton.

The Odysseus Piano Trio will perform two classics of the piano trio repertoire, Beethoven’s Trio in D major, Op 70 No 1 (the "Ghost") and Brahms Trio No 1 in B major, Op 8.

The season concludes with the annual Patron’s Concert, when Gina McCormack presents her "Young Musicians’ Showcase".
