A CHILDMINDER in Innerleithen provides a “home from home” for youngsters in her care, an inspection has deemed.
Nadine Patterson, operating as Busy Bees Childminding, is registered to provide a care service to a maximum of six children under 12 years.
A representative of the Care Inspectorate paid a short notice announced visit to the service on August 22.
Key findings were that children benefited from a “home from home” environment, that there were a range of activities available for children to choose from that catered for their interests.
“Trust and respectful” relationships had been built with children and families and families held the childminder in high regard.
The inspector noted that the childminder should move ahead with plans to improve experiences in the garden.
The service was rated ‘good’ in four categories – the quality of care, play and learning, its setting, leadership and staff team.
