SENTENCE has been deferred on a 45-year-old who admitted stealing alcohol from a Peebles store.
Terry Kennedy, along with another man, walked out with a trolley containing bottles of alcohol from Sainsbury’s in Northgate on the evening of November 12.
Prosecutor Drew Long told Selkirk Sheriff Court the items had not been paid for but the men had been spotted by a staff member and there was full recovery.
Sheriff Robert Carr deferred sentence on Kennedy, who gave an address in Gorebridge, until October 28 to allow another case against him to be resolved for which he is currently remanded in custody.
