A SELKIRK woman who admitted a series of offences has had sentence deferred at the town’s sheriff court for the production of background reports.

Nikkita James, 35, pleaded guilty to assaulting a man and a woman in Bridge Street, Selkirk, on May 15, 2022.

She admitted shouting and swearing, making offensive remarks and threats to damage property on October 7 last year in an incident involving a partner or ex-partner.

James also pleaded guilty to committing three offences on November 12 and 13 last year by obstructing emergency workers and making threats at Huntlyburn Hospital, Melrose; assaulting a male constable at Hawick Police Station by kicking him on the body, and then assaulting a female constable.

Sheriff Robert Vaughan said five separate complaints containing various charges would be considered when she is sentenced on July 22.
