A LAMB has died after being hit by a vehicle on a Borders road, according to police.

Officers are appealing for information after the animal was found deceased at around 9pm on Monday, May 20.

The incident is believed to have happened on the B6362 between Lauder and Stow, known locally as the Common.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Livestock has access to the roadway and road users are asked to drive to the conditions. 

“Death of livestock has a detrimental impact on farmers financially and emotionally.

“Any witnesses or those with information are asked to contact officers via 101 and quote reference 4192 of May 20.
