A 29-YEAR-OLD Galashiels man has been found guilty of an extortion charge following a trial at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Jordan Cunningham had denied attempting to expose a man’s private activities on social media and extorting money from him by threats.
But after evidence was led he was found guilty of the charge by Sheriff Kevin McCarron.
The extortion offence happened at a house in Church Square, Galashiels, in January 2022.
Sentence was deferred until next month for the production of background reports.
