STAFF from a Borders health and social care partnership have celebrated a decade of collaboration with a national charity.
The Scottish Borders Health and Social Care Partnership and Carr Gomm - a social care charity - have marked their 10 year partnership with a celebratory event at Melrose Rugby Club.
On Wednesday (March 6) SB Health and Social Care Partnership, Carr Gomm, Eildon Housing, and Scottish Borders Council (SBC) gathered to celebrate their work supporting more than 30 people in the region to stay in their homes.
Gillian Lewis, operations manager at Carr Gomm, said: “One of Carr Gomm’s core values is interdependence, we recognise that we all rely and depend on each other to reach our goals and live our best lives.
“Our partnership in the Borders is a fantastic example of this value in action and the powerful impact and significant difference this can make in the lives of the people we support.”
The partnership, which began in 2013, also helps service users to build connections and relationships in their communities.
The service helps to bridge the gap between hospital stays and service users' return to their communities, and offers additional support to those who find the transition difficult.
The partnership has also helped people move back to the Borders.
A Carr Gomm spokesperson added: "Carr Gomm and the Scottish Borders Health and Social Care Partnership look forward to continuing their work together."
