SENTENCE has been deferred at Selkirk Sheriff Court on a 27-year-old man who admitted sending a film of his former partner in an intimate situation via social media to another man.
Jonathan Williamson, who gave an address in Darcy Terrace, Mayfield, pleaded guilty to the offence designed to cause the woman fear and alarm or distress.
The film was sent to the man from Peebles between March 13 and April 2 last year.
A not guilty plea to sending the man unwanted messages and voicemails and uttering threats of violence and derogatory remarks was accepted by the Crown.
Williamson has another matter against him which is going to call on petition and he is currently remanded in custody regarding it.
As a result sheriff Peter Paterson decided to defer sentence for three months until December 11.
