A SELKIRK man has admitted stealing a power drill worth £155 from B&Q in Galashiels on January 21.

Forty-year-old Thomas Dickson also pleaded guilty to stealing £33.50 worth of alcohol from Iceland in Galashiels on March 6.

On both occasions there was no recovery of the stolen goods, Selkirk Sheriff Court was told.

Dickson also admitted failing to answer the door to police when he was on a home curfew.

The court also heard that Dickson is currently serving a three-month custodial sentence.

He also has eight other matters calling at Selkirk Sheriff Court on September 4 and sentence was deferred until that date.
