THE wait is over as Peebles Beltane Festival is back.
With hopes of making this year's festival bigger and better than last year, the Beltane committee has worked tirelessly to ensure a great week is had by all.
After the long wait, Peebles is ready to celebrate again and officially welcome its principals for the year.
Launching on Sunday, June 18, Beltane will begin with the inauguration, before Cornet elect Robert Girdwood and Cornet elect's Lass Ailidh Copeland are officially installed on Beltane Wednesday.
Then on Saturday, June 24, Red Letter Day will return where the Beltane Queen, Minnie Mitchell, and her Court will take to the steps of the Parish Church.
Here are all the events to expect during Beltane Week:
Beltane Sunday, June 18: Inauguration – Cross Kirk, 5.45pm
Beltane Monday, June 19: School Disco – Drill Hall, P3-5, 6-7.15pm; P6-7, 7.30-9pm
Beltane Tuesday, June 20: Children’s Sport – Whitestone Park, 6.45pm
Beltane Wednesday, June 21: Installation, Rideout and Reel – War Memorial, 6pm
Beltane Thursday, June 22: Novice Ride and Concert – Kingsmeadows Car Park, 6pm; Burgh Hall, 7.30pm
Beltane Friday, June 23: Fancy Dress Parade – High Street, 7.30pm
Beltane Saturday, June 24: Red Letter Day (crowning ceremony and grand procession) – Halyrude Primary School to Parish Church, 9.15am
