BORDERS Buses has suspended X95 services between Hawick and Carlisle due to a closure on the A7.
Police were called to reports of an overturned lorry at around 3.15am today (November 12), with officers closing the road to recover the vehicle.
And Borders Buses says it has taken the “hard decision” to stop all remaining X95 services for the remainder of the day due to the closure.
A spokesperson for the travel company said: “We have been informed that the A7 closure is expected to remain in place for most of the day.
“As this closure is out with our control, we have taken the hard decision to suspend all remaining X95 services between Hawick and Carlisle for the remainder of today.”

It is the company’s intention to return to normal tomorrow, but this is “only an option if the road reopens”.
According to Traffic Scotland, the A7 is now running under temporary traffic lights at Canonbie following the overnight incident.
Meanwhile, police have confirmed that a crash took place in Stow last night.
There were no injuries, according to officers.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a road traffic crash involving a car and a lorry on the A7 Galashiels Road in Stow around 9.40pm on Thursday, November 11, 2021.
“There were no injuries reported and vehicle recovery was arranged.”
