STOBO Castle has been named as the best luxury destination spa in the world.

The Peebles venue was crowned the winners of the Global Luxury Destination Spa prize in this year’s “prestigious” World Luxury Awards.

Stobo also won in the European Luxury Countryside Spa category.

The awards ceremony took place on Saturday (October 9).

Winners were decided by an online vote by the public, according to the event organisers.

“We congratulate this year’s winners,” said The World Luxury Awards marketing director Michael Hunter-Smith. “True luxury is not easily attained.”
