A BORDERS man broke another man's jaw in an apparent revenge attack after the tyres of his vehicle were slashed, Selkirk Sheriff Court has been told.
Forty-five-year-old Don Napier, of Selkirk's Leslie Place, pleaded guilty to assaulting the man to his severe injury after striking him with a piece of wood at a house in the town on November 19.
His son Ryan Napier, 23, had a not guilty plea to the same charged accepted by the Crown.
Sheriff Peter Paterson deferred sentence until October 18 for the production of background reports.
