A BORDERS man who admitted having sex with a horse will be sentenced next week.
Jordan Turnbull, 28, of Meigle Street, Galashiels, pleaded guilty to a charge of bestiality and having an "unnatural connection" with the animal at a farm over a period of three months.
His co-accused Joshua Lee-Paterson, who is 20, pleaded guilty to a similar offence at Cothal Farm, Aberdeenshire, between October 1 and December 31, 2018.
Lee-Paterson is understood to have owned a field at the farm and kept horses there.
Aberdeen Sheriff Court was told that Police Scotland and the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals launched an investigation after a tip-off.
Lee-Paterson and Turnbull have now been placed on the sex offenders’ register and are due to be sentenced on Friday, April 23.
