A FIRE in a Peeblesshire village may have been started deliberately, say police.
Officers are appealing for information following the blaze at a wooden garage on Caberston Road, Walkerburn.
Police were contacted by the fire service at 12.15am today (April 15). Nobody was injured, say police.
In a statement issued today, a police spokesperson said: “We attended and initial enquiries suggests this has been a deliberate act. Thankfully nobody was injured.
“If anyone believes they have information relating to this incident, please call us on 101, quoting incident 0044 of Thursday, 15 April, 2021, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.”
