ELDER (Peebles) Thank you to all who sent cards and flowers with lovely messages following the loss of John. He was the dearest and most loving husband to Wendy; precious dad to Caroline and the late Sally; a father-in-law to Pete; and also to Jon and Mirari, who flew over from the Basque Country to be with us. Lastly, as a reflection of how much his dearly loved grandsons Steven and Daniel meant to their grandad, and he to them, a mention of just how proud we were of them on the day of the Thanksgiving, both writing from the heart about what he meant to them. Many thanks to Purves, Funeral Directors who looked after John so well, and the sensitivity and care they showed at such a difficult time. We couldn't have wished for a better Thanksgiving for John's life. Everyone involved was fantastic, thanks to, Gill Coltman, it felt as if you really knew John; The Hydro and staff, in particular, Caroline Raeburn; and to Helen from 'Tweed Blooms' with her beautiful flowers. Grateful thanks to all those who gave so generously raising almost £500 for the British Heart Foundation. Many thanks to all who came to the Hydro that day and helped to make it really special.
