RISING Walkerburn judo star Rae Anderson has landed gold.
The Peebles High pupil won the Sportif International Championships at Meadowbank in Edinburgh on Saturday to become the Sportif Junior -52kgs Champion.
Competitors from all over Europe and a few from Canada competed at the championships.
Rae won the Sportif Cadet -52kgs last year.
This latest win comes on the back of Rae being selected to represent Great Britain in Portugal at the junior level European Cup.
And she will also represent Scotland at the upcoming Commonwealth Judo Championships in Port Elizabeth, South Africa later this month.
The 17-year-old, who trains with Judo Club Esprit and the Judo Scotland talent development squad, told the Peeblesshire News: "Thanks to Kames Capital, Leng Landrovers Ltd, Clubsport Tweeddale and the Rowan Boland Memorial Trust for their continued support."
