THE Borders has recorded one new case of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
The figure was released by the Scottish Government at 2pm today (Tuesday, May 18).
It shows the region has now recorded 2,903 cases since the pandemic began – and three more than on Friday (May 14).
The Borders data shows there are still fewer than five people in hospital with the virus, which has been the case since February 26.
Across Scotland, a total of 230,042 people have tested positive for COVID-19 since March 2020.
